This is a wonderful resort on the edge of Marrakech but still in a great location to get into the heart of the city. There are family rooms and suites here to suit the whole family, whatever the size. There are so many facilities from gorgeous outdoor pools to family yoga classes. There’s a kids club and they will also organise lunch for the kids who are there for the full day. The grounds feel green and like an oasis of calm away from busy Marrakech. Breakfast is an amazing spread of local and international food and they have stands for people cooking up Moroccan doughnuts and pancakes too which is a real treat for all the family. Every day there is also a chocolate hour where you can go and help yourself to some of the free chocolate and drinks on offer.

Four Seasons Hotel Casablanca

This is a gorgeous hotel, right by the sea and just 10 minutes from bustling Casablanca. The Premier Suite is great for families with a sofa bed for up to two children. There’s plenty here for kids to enjoy from the gorgeous outdoor pool through to a movie library to borrow from, kid’s club and fun pool toys. This is a high end resort with all the luxurious elements you would expect from the Four Seasons brand.

This hotel isn’t focussed so much on the facilities – there are no pools or kid’s clubs here, but more in getting to experience a slice of real Moroccan life. This budget hotel is in the middle of Rabat and is a great price for families looking to explore the capital. They have family rooms that come with double bed and sofa bed and the staff will also put in an extra bed if you need it. Breakfast is a really great spread of hot and cold food. The location here is everything, being just 20 minutes taxi ride from the airport, 10 minutes walk to the train station and around 10 minutes walk in to the old medina. Opposite the hotel is a great park, the Nouzhat Hassan Garden which is great for kids to have a run around in.

Chefchaouen, the blue city of Morocco, is filled with quirky interesting places to stay and our top pick for families is Dar Elrio. This riad has family rooms which are perfect for kids. There are board games and books for kids in the riad and it is around a 5 minute walk to the main square. This is a big hotel, on the outskirts of Tangier with wonderful views across the coast and to the twinkling lights of the city. There are interconnecting rooms and suites on offer and some great facilities including pools and a playground in the expansive grounds. Breakfast here is a really good spread of hot and cold food and there’s a very nice, authentic local restaurant at the hotel too, as well as one serving more international offerings.

This is certainly not a budget option but you can’t stay anywhere much more unique than the Berbère Palace, Ouarzazate. Originally built as a trading post Ouarzazate soon became known as a great place to make movies. The setting here is spectacular and it’s a great place to take trips from to the Atlas Mountains, the desert or the gorges. Stay at the Berbère Palace, right in the centre and close to the famous Kasbah de Taourirt. There is a beautiful outdoor swimming pool and a great spa. There are four different restaurants and you can have breakfast on the terrace. This is one of the fantastic family hotels in Morocco and with family sized suites kids will love it too.

Fès is a wonderful city for a family holiday in Morocco. The souks are wonderful to explore with kids and there are fun places like Diamant vert water park to visit and experiences like camel trips out in to the desert to enjoy. Stay at the Palais Medina & Spa which has lovely, spacious family rooms. The hotel has two swimming pools and is situated next to the Fez Borj shopping centre.The Palais also is set within five acres of grounds so the perfect place to relax from the hustle and bustle of the city. The hotel has three restaurants so is perfect for staying in, but close enough to get out easily to all the sights of either the old town or new town it is situated in between.
