It’s in a fabulous location, as its name suggests it’s just across from the fabulous Prado Museum. The rooms here are as expected from this great brand with Nespresso machines, wonderful rainforest style showers and comfortable beds. There are interconnecting rooms available for families too. The Wellington is a wonderful five star hotel which first opened in the 1950s so has an air of old class about it. One of its great benefits is its fantastic outdoor swimming pool which kids will love. This hotel is located in the lovely Salamanca district and is just 100 yards from Retiro Park with the Retiro Metro Station being just 250 yards away. Travelodge are an international brand who are consistent in what they do. This no-fills chain provide a base at a fantastic price for your trip to Madrid. They have family rooms and although they aren’t in the centre of the city there are regular buses to central Madrid, which stop outside the hotel. The Barrio de la Concepción Metro Station is just 550 yards away and the centre can be reached in 15 minutes by car.
