Omni Amelia Island Resort is a huge hotel complex right on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean on Amelia Island in Florida. There are various types of accommodation from hotel rooms through to multi bedroom apartments in separate blocks. There are numerous swimming pools and facilities spread across the site including restaurants and activities.
This is a wonderful location for families with sandy beaches on the doorstep and a kids club and games room for children to enjoy. Amelia Island is a lovely location for break and the resort is full of old school charm but with a touch of luxury.

Omni Amelia Island Resort – Family Hotels Expert view
We stayed in the Shipwatch Villas which is one of the apartment blocks that make up Omni Amelia Island Resort. We stayed in a three bedroom apartment that was extremely well appointed and comfortable with all the facilities for a self catering stay. Each area had its own pool and an easy walk to the beach. We loved Amelia Island which felt like a relaxing weekend break away from the bright lights and theme parks of Orlando.
