Radisson Blu Resort Trysil – the rooms

There are a number of different rooms to choose from including doubles, family suites and interconnecting rooms. The bathroom has Radisson Blu’s own products and there are teas, coffees, hot chocolates and a kettle available in the room. You can also have access to a ski locker on the ground floor which is ski in / out from.
The Family Hotel Expert view –
We stayed in one of the Radisson Blu’s family suites which had a double bedroom and a separate lounge area with a sofa bed and also a pull down bed for our oldest. It fitted our family of five perfectly. We loved the drying room for our clothes and there was plenty of storage space inside. It would have been nice to have had a bath but most ski resort hotels don’t so we weren’t expecting one.
Radisson Blu Trysil – the location

The Radisson Blu Resort Trysil is situated on the Turistsenteret side of the ski area which is perfect to give you easy access to the ski lessons which are an easy trip up the magic carpet. There’s a supermarket, pizza restaurant and cafe a couple of minutes walk up the hill. It’s a fantastic location providing real ski in / ski out advantages.

We loved this location, we felt we were in the heart of everything on offer in Trysil but it was also easy to get further afield. We loved the views at the back of the hotel across the slopes.
Food and drink at the Radisson Blu in Trysil
There are a number of restaurants, bars and cafes at the Radisson Blu Resort in Trysil with something for everyone. You can stay at the hotel on a bed and breakfast or half board basis.
Hill Restaurant breakfast & dinner

The hotels main buffet restaurant is the Hill which is open for breakfast and for dinner for those on a half board basis. Their breakfast selection was good with plenty of pastries, cereals, fruits and hot items. They had a really good vegetarian and gluten free selection and while they could increase the juices on offer there was a smoothie or cold chocolate milk for those who fancied it.
La Piazza

The Radisson Blu’s Italian restaurant is a great little space for pizzas, pastas and other dishes. They have their own wood fired oven with pizzas being hand stretched and freshly made. This is a great place, well priced and with really tasty food.
Chill Bowl & Dine

This is the Radisson’s American style diner with burgers and fries the order of the day. Overlooking the bowling lanes this is a good space to relax with the children.
Brasserie T
This is the hotel’s brasserie with an international flare and a really cosy ambience.
Radisson Blu Trysil – family friendly
This hotel is really family friendly and they have amazing facilities kids will love. As well as the sporting activities listed above the resort also works closely with Trysil’s mascot, Valle the Snowman. There are lots of themed Valle ski runs around Trysil and the hotel also offers opportunities to meet with this lovable snowman. A number of times a week during the winter season there are cinema shows, quizzes and Valle’s birthday party to attend.
