Château de Saint Paterne, Pays
This is an enchanting chateau that has a fairytale look to it and perfect for holidays that the whole family will never forget. Just two hours from Paris this is a great location from which to explore the Loire Valley or Normandy. They have family suites that come complete with bunk beds which kids will love and most of the rooms can have additional beds added. There’s an outdoor heated pool, tennis courts, a playground and trampoline in the grounds to burn off energy. Food is served each evening including a children’s meal at 6.30pm.
Najeti Hotel du Parc, Hardelot
The Najeti Hotel sits about five miles from Boulogne, close to the sandy beach at Hardelot and within the wonderful Opal Coast area of northern France. This is a great hotel for a family stay with interconnecting rooms and sofas that convert to single beds too. The hotel has lots going for it with an outdoor heated pool, tennis court, badminton and playground. It feels like a lovely countryside stay but with all the fun of the coast (and places like the amazing Nausicaa Aquarium, the largest aquarium in Europe) a short drive away.

Le Royal Monceau, Paris
The ultimate northern France city has to be Paris and there’s so much here for families. Le Royal Monceau is an absolutely wonderful hotel for all ages. They have interconnecting rooms and amazing suites for all the family to be comfortable. There’s an indoor pool, a cinema and gifts for the kids when they check in along with special products for kids in the bathroom. This luxury at its best – comfortable, beautiful and with all the friendliness you could want from a stay with kids.

Grand Hotel des Bains, Brittany
This is a wonderful family hotel that gives access to some of the best beaches in France. They have interconnecting rooms but can also add beds in to rooms too at a small cost. They have a great indoor swimming pool with set times for kids and also a children’s menu for meals. The hotel also has its own private beach for a really quiet time on the sand. Set in Locquirec this is a great location for family holidays to northern France and there’s plenty to do onsite to keep everyone happy.
Pierre & Vacances Village Normandy Garden
For family holidays packed full of fun the Pierre & Vacances Village Normandy Garden and its 12 hectare site is the best. There’s a village type atmosphere and with lots of different types of accommodation on site including apartments and two or three bedroom houses. The site is less than two hours from Paris and within 15 km of Deauville, Cabourg and Villers-sur-Mer. There are a number of heated pools including an indoor water park, kids clubs, playground, organised sports activities and more.
The Castel Beau Site, Brittany
The setting of The Castel Beau Site is so dramatic, nudging out into the sea in Brittany on the Pink Granite Coast. Their family rooms are in fact two rooms interconnected with a great space for everyone to spread out and relax. The activities are really all about the surroundings, the beach outside the back door and all the sports and sea activities going on in this area (and you’ll love the outside hot tub to watch the sun set from). The hotel is gorgeous and families will get a real welcome here.
Novotel Deauville Plage, Normandy
Situated just 350 yards from the beach the Novotel Deauville Plage is great for those travelling with kids as it has family rooms. The hotel has a great indoor pool as well as a hammam. There’s table tennis for those that fancy a game and guests can wander to Promenade des Planches as well as Trouville Beach. They also have a great breakfast on offer for guests.
Appart’City Amiens Gare Cathédrale, Amiens
Amiens is a wonderful city for family holiday in northern France. This city has plenty going on for those travelling with kids. Les Hortillonnages d’Amiens is a lovely experience, floating along the canals in electric boats, it’s a great way to experience Amiens. Stay at Appart’City Amiens Gare Cathédrale, right in the centre and who have apartments that can fit a family. There’s a great buffet breakfast included and it’s in a fantastic locatio – just 350 yards to the Notre Dame Cathedral. The train station is also just a five minute walk away. This is a city break which all the family will enjoy.
Le Cap Hornu, Saint-Valery-sur-Somme
Le Cap Hornu is ideal for family holidays in northern France. Situated in Saint-Valery-sur-Somme the hotel has an outdoor pool for the summer and lots of opportunities to stay active with tennis and badminton courts. Le Touquet-Paris-Plage is just over 37 miles from here and Dieppe is just over 36 miles away. Saint-Valery-sur-Somme is a gorgeous Medieval city which can count William the Conqueror and Joan of Arc as past visitors. There’s plenty to do here and just taking a stroll by the marina is stunning. This is a lovely location for a holiday with kids.
Disney’s Newport Bay Club, nr Paris
If you fancy a trip the kids will love then why not head to Disneyland Paris? It’s a great park, full of rides which all ages will love. Stay at Disney’s Newport Bay Club which has a real 1920’s New England vibe. It’s easy to get in to Paris from here too. With indoor and outdoor pools the hotel itself is lots of fun.
