We really enjoyed the whole vibe of the Noli Katajanokka Helsinki. It felt like it was more frequented by younger people but certainly wasn’t rowdy or loud. There was a real feel of energy through the building and it was always a lovely place to return to. There are some really comfortable lounge rooms at the entrance packed with board games and pool etc. There’s a good size supermarket at the end of the road and it was really easy to walk to the centre from.
Noli Katajanokka Helsinki – the rooms

The Noli has a number of different style apartments including compact, a roof top terrace studio or a pet friendly studio. They have large bathrooms (with great cloudberry products), lounge areas and plenty of storage. There’s a small kitchenette for cooking up food and plenty of facilities to stay here for a weekend or a month.

We stayed in one of Noli Katajanokka Helsinki’s extra large fully furnished studios. We loved the space as a family with a bunk bed for the kids and a double bed in the master with an extra bed brought through for our youngest. We loved having our own washing machine to catch up on holiday laundry and the kitchen area was really well kitted out with everything we needed to cook family meals. A television would have been nice and it was odd not to have one but it did mean we used the main public areas more.
Noli Katajanokka Helsinki – the location
Based in the Kanavaranta, this is a really lovely area of the city, very quiet and peaceful with the Tove Jansson Park at the end of the road. There’s a supermarket here and it’s less than a ten minute walk to Market Square and the heart of the city.

We really enjoyed this location. We made use of the Sea Allas pools which were easy to walk to from here and it was great to be able to go into town and then nip back whenever we felt like it. The location felt quiet and safe and we enjoyed walking around. The tram stop for longer journeys is a couple of minutes walk away.
Food and drink at the Noli Katajanokka Helsinki
There is an onsite restaurant but as we had self catering facilities in our apartment we didn’t make use of it.
Noli Katajanokka Helsinki – family friendly
We found the Noli Katajanokka Helsinki a great place to stay in Helsinki with kids. Being able to have space to spread out is very family friendly and it’s nice to have a kitchen area with fridge and freezer for snacks. The location is also a winner, meaning it’s not a trek to get out to the main sights of Helsinki. The children loved being able to play pool, computer games or board games in the communal areas.
