Soar Mill Cove Hotel lies just on the outskirts of Salcombe and is set back from its own cove. This is a hotel to really feel away from the world, down winding lanes in Devon, although it’s easy to get in to all the shops and restaurants of the town if you choose. This is a family run hotel at its best and families will love both the hotel, the space and the welcome. They have family rooms which come with a separate bedroom for the children.
The facilities here are wonderful with a great indoor heated pool and a games room for the kids. The lounge here is lovely and overlooks the sea where you can play board games and take Afternoon Tea. There’s an easy, lovely walk down to Soar Mill Cove where the waves cash in winter and you can go beachcombing and in summer paddle in the calmer waters. This is an idyllic location and the food here deserves particular mention.

We have stayed at Soar Mill Cove Hotel twice and love this hotel, we always feel like we’re being greeted as old friends. The room give us plenty of space to relax and spread ourselves out. The kids love the swimming pool here which is really warm and great to burn off any lingering energy. Everyone loves the ramble down to the beach which is really beautiful. The breakfast is fantastic, in fact all the meals we’ve had here have been great. This is somewhere we love to come to recharge the batteries and enjoy some really quality family time.
